This varied itinerary will first take you to the Col de la Forclaz before climbing up to the Mont de l'Arpille: take advantage of this opportunity to take a break, after having already achieved 800m of positive height difference, and admire the landscape from this 360° viewpoint. An orientation table will help you find your way around. A long descent then awaits you to reach the Trient gorges, during which you will cross a series of hamlets typical of the region. You will then climb 1300 m to reach the Col de Balme and the French-Swiss border, before going back down to Trient on a path with no technical difficulty.
