Explanations on site of the ancestors of the dinosaurs

Discover the history of the ancestors of the disonaurus thanks to the traces still visible on the footprint site of Vieux-Emosson.

A mountain guide from the ASAM Valais Romand section or a geologist from the Geneva Museum will reveal all the secrets of the creation of these footprints during the summer season.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION

Free animation every day from 24 July to 16 August 2026, from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm
In case of bad weather, the guide will remain at the Cabane du Vieux-Emosson
Walking time: 5 hours for the complete loop (round trip from Emosson)
The hike to the site is by your own means and under your own responsibility
Please bring appropriate mountain hiking equipment
